Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm 

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various areas. 

Sweep, clean and mop the floors in the common areas of the facility and in areas with high foot traffic. 

Thoroughly clean and disinfect restrooms, including mirrors, fixtures, and partitions. 

Empty trash cans and replace liners in all areas daily. 

Clean breakrooms and office areas, including tables, sinks, and floors. 

Wipe down microwaves, refrigerators and high-touch surfaces. 

Stock and maintain supply rooms. 

Maintain janitorial supplies and ensure proper storage. 

Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects. 

Report to management when major repairs are needed. 

Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters. 

Maintain a clean and safe working environment. 

Participate in Company and department safety programs. 

Minimum Education and Experience 

Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field. 

Preferred Education and Experience 

High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required. 

Previous experience in commercial cleaning preferred. 

Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment. 

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards. 

Ability to work independently. 

Good communication skills to interact with facility managers and staff. 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors 

When in a plant environment: 

Ability to tolerate exposure to wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. 

Ability to stand for an extended period and perform repetitive tasks. 

Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. by reaching, bending, and pushing. 

Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, bump cap and ear protection as required. 

May work in an environment with varying temperatures between 28 degrees and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 

May handle products varying in temperatures between 25 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. 

May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. 

May be exposed to dust, and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. 

Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
