Summary
Coordinate critical operations that support the success of our breeder operations by ensuring contract crews have the resources, inventory, and support needed to perform efficiently each day. In this role, you will oversee crew scheduling, manage vaccine inventory to maintain optimal supply levels, and ensure the correct vaccines are prepared and available for daily use. You will also monitor vaccine storage conditions, coordinate the management of egg carts and waste egg storage, and help maintain compliance with company policies and operational standards. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced agricultural environment and takes pride in supporting operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and animal care standards.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00am - 2:00pm
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Always maintain a professional and courteous manner while upholding a positive professional image for self and Perdue Farms.
- Comply with company requirements regarding biosecurity, food safety, and poultry welfare programs and policies always.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner while complying with Perdue, state, and federal requirements and policies always.
- Supervise vaccine inventory and ensure crews have the proper daily supplies pulled in advance.
- Supervise the operation of the egg disposal system.
- Unload commercial eggs from farm racks.
- Clean and disinfect farm carts.
- Clean and disinfect work areas and equipment.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of supplies for poultry houses and livestock for both WNC and YVA divisions.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Valid driver's license.
- Provide a certified copy of the state driving record for the previous 5 years before employment.
- Ability to plan and think ahead.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems at a functional level.
- Knowledge of and ability to implement modern processes, techniques, and quality improvement processes.
- Knowledge of and ability to provide strong customer service and customer orientation.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including producers.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Work in environments that include soil and wet, moist, dry, greasy, concrete, metal, and wood-slatted surfaces for up to 4 continuous hours.
- Lift, control, and carry up to 80 lbs.
- Work in temperatures ranging from less than 28°F to greater than 100°F with ambient and 100% humidity conditions.
- Work in noise levels ranging from less than 50 dB to greater than 100 dB.
- Work in light intensity levels ranging from less than 1 to greater than 100 foot-candles.
- Perform bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting, and grasping activities that vary in repetition, distance, degree, angle, weight, height, duration, object handled, and body position based on assigned tasks.
- Experience exposure to chlorinated water (<50 ppm), ammonia vapors (>5 ppm), caustic detergents, lubricating oils, salt, and other chemicals used in poultry processing.
- Experience normal exposure to chemicals identified in Material Safety Data Sheets available in the Breeder office.
