Summary
Join our team as a Smokehouse Operations Associate and be an integral part of our production process! This role supports smooth operations in the smokehouse and drying areas while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and teamwork. It’s a hands-on, fast-paced position perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in keeping production running efficiently.
Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 12:00am-8:00am
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Move empty or full product trucks within the production facility.
- Load and unload smokehouses and drying rooms.
- Validate tree documentation prior to transport or staging.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area to uphold food safety standards.
- Collaborates with team members to achieve production targets – at times including coverage in other functional areas.
- Participates in company and department safety programs.
- All other tasks or assignments delegated by leadership.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Must be able to see, touch, smell & record findings in writing or electronically.
- Manual dexterity for clinical procedures.
- Move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- Have ability to respond as needed to medical emergencies in all areas of the complex.
- Must have ability to move throughout the processing plant & surrounding environments of the off-site facilities, such as feed mills, hatchery, etc.
- Majority of work in office or clinic setting, as well as inter-facility & external environmental conditions (e.g. noise levels, changes in temperature, humidity, etc. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. To 110 db.
- May be exposed to dust, feathers, and all chemicals used in poultry processing facility.
- You must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
