Summary

The Transformation Office at Perdue is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to assist in the planning, execution, and completion of projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget as well as maintain the Transformation Office’s central project and portfolio management system, PPM360. 

 

This is an onsite role at our Salisbury, MD Corporate Offices.

 

The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $95,000  per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Managers and the Director, PMO to maintain the Project Portfolio Management system (PPM360) with accurate data for status reporting, resource management, and portfolio management.  Duties will include reviewing data for accuracy, following up with Project Managers and Business Owners to ensure data is up to date and accurate, and data entry. 
  • Serve as and Functional Administrator and main point of contact for the PPM360 system.  Duties include: creating and maintaining training guides, providing user training and support, maintaining the SharePoint site with system guides and resources, and other related duties as assigned. 
  • Support PPM360 related projects and releases by monitoring the project plan, providing input to requirements and design, and leading user acceptance testing. 
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, project status reports, schedules, and budgets. 
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, and information to ensure smooth execution. 
  • Track project progress and report updates to stakeholders and management. 
  • Facilitate communication among team members, ensuring alignment with project objectives. 
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, reports, and presentations. 
  • Work with project managers to collect and maintain project resource plans and status updates and ensure this information is kept up to date in the Portfolio Management System 
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues. 
  • Organize and schedule project-related meetings, workshops, and training sessions. 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and project management best practices. 
  • Support project managers in administrative tasks and other duties as needed. 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field. 

  • Proven experience as a Project Coordinator or in a similar role. 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., PPM360, Microsoft Project, PPM360, Asana, Trello, or similar tools). 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Process orientated: Experience with creating process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and similar documents.
  • Requires potential on-call, off hours, or weekend work as project schedules may require.

 

PREFERRED:  

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Power Apps and Power BI is a plus

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  1. Positions at Corporate are mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings, or support in facilities when they are deployed to a site.  Positions in plants involve moving throughout the plants, feedmills, hatcheries and other facilities as needed to deploy, monitor, and support manufacturing systems equipment.
  2. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  3. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  4. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
  5. When in a plant environment:
    • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
    • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
    • May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
    • May be exposed to all chemicals found in poultry, food and processing plant.
    • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required
