Summary

Drive supply chain performance and operational efficiency across a dynamic Agribusiness network. As a Senior Trade Execution Merchandiser, you will lead the planning and execution of supply and logistics strategies that ensure a consistent flow of oilseeds and crude oils to support crush plants and refinery operations while developing and maintaining production schedules, optimizing inventory levels, and managing inbound supply to balance cost, capacity, and operational needs. You will serve as a key connector across plants, transportation, and commercial teams, ensuring seamless coordination and execution while leveraging data, analytics, and industry knowledge to drive informed decision making and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a strategic, analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at cross functional collaboration, and is passionate about optimizing operations and delivering measurable impact.

 

The salary range for this position is $101,000 - $151,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the Master Production Schedule, ensuring plans support both short and long-term operational objectives.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet operational requirements while balancing forecast accuracy, schedule compliance, and production smoothing.
  • Manage inbound supply of organic oilseeds (soybeans, canola, sunflower) for crush plant operations and organic crude oils for refinery production.
  • Utilize knowledge of facility operations, production capabilities, storage, and inventory to support decision-making.
  • Participate in strategic planning activities for crash and refinery operations.
  • Key point of contact between crush plants, refinery, transportation, and sales team to ensure smooth, consistent execution of commercial activities.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend support to stakeholders as needed.

 

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of production planning and optimization within constraints.
  • Knowledge of AgTech and Excel.
  • Proficiency in Excel and standard software applications.
  • Understanding of transportation modes and methodologies.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of AgTech.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Normal climate-controlled office environment.
  • Able to communicate on the telephone and use standard office equipment.
  • The position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.
  • Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
