Summary
Ensure environmental compliance and drive continuous improvement across Perdue Agribusiness. As the Senior Compliance & Continuous Improvement Manager, you’ll lead cross-functional efforts to implement environmental programs, align operations with regulatory requirements, and embed best practices into daily processes. You’ll influence stakeholders, develop practical policies, and champion initiatives that reduce risk, improve sustainability, and boost operational performance across the business. You’ll also provide compliance support for Perdue Agribusiness Environmental and disaster response activities as needed. This role is ideal for a strategic, action-oriented leader who thrives on making measurable environmental and operational impact.
The salary range for this position is $114,000 - $170,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and lead enterprise‑wide development and implementation of standardized policies and procedures, including an environmental management system (non‑certified).
- Manage the collection and visualization of data needed for compliance and sustainability reporting through Perdue internal data gathering and management tools (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI).
- Use collected data to collaborate with senior management on continuous improvement.
- Provide compliance support and guidance to other Environmental Managers within Perdue Agribusiness, acting as a senior advisor and mentor.
- Cover Regions during staffing gaps and train new Regional Environmental Managers, including overseeing onboarding.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent related work experience in environmental science or a related discipline.
- 9-15 years of related work experience.
- Technical experience in environmental regulations, air compliance, air permitting, stack testing science and methodology, project management, and energy utility consumption.
- Technical experience with environmental management systems.
- Demonstrated competency in problem‑solving, negotiating, managing people, and establishing and meeting schedules.
- Progressive leadership experience dealing with environmental compliance‑related items.
- Ability to travel to remote facilities and offices for meetings.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data tools such as PowerBI.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Water and wastewater operations experience.
- Experience with air emissions control devices such as baghouses and cyclones.
- Experience with air permitting and emissions calculation methodology, including stack testing relating to VOC and PM.
- Additional experience in air permitting.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Work activity occurs at project and plant sites to observe and design processes or procedures.
- Ability to move equipment occasionally.
- Ability to access files, supplies, and equipment.
- Work activity may take place at any company facility.
- Work environment includes office settings, construction sites, and climate extremes found in poultry processing operations, feed mills, grain handling facilities, crush facilities, vegetable oil refineries, hatcheries, and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities.
When in a plant environment:
- Exposure to wet and moist floors, including metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- Exposure to temperatures ranging from 28°F to 100°F with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- Exposure to noise levels ranging from 50 dB to 110 db.
- Exposure to chemicals used in poultry, food, and vegetable oil processing functions.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces, permitted areas, and at heights over 100 feet.
- Must be able to work on and around operating equipment.
