Summary
The Principal Solution Architect’s responsibilities include gathering requirements and functional specifications, assessing the current software systems in place to identify areas in need of improvement, and overseeing development teams for Enterprise-wide Technology projects. You should also be able to regularly update the company leadership on any developments in systems architecture projects. To be successful as a principal Integration architect, you should be able to integrate any updated specifications and requirements into the systems architecture across multiple domains or subject areas.
The salary range for this position is $143,000 - $215,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating integration architectures that connect various SAP and non-SAP systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Defines, implements, and monitors compliance to Interface SLA’s, Integration Guidelines, architecture, access levels, and quality standards. Ensures all defined guidelines, SLA’s and standards are followed across projects.
- Ensuring connectivity between SAP and non-SAP systems, leveraging APIs, web services, and middleware
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance of integration solutions to meet business requirements. Implement security measures and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Defines, implements, and monitors compliance to configuration, workflow, architecture, integration, access levels, and quality standards for middleware. Translates high-level business requirements into suitable integration patterns.
- Building and integrating information systems to meet the company’s needs across multiple domains or subject areas.
- Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with multiple technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it. Resolving complex technical problems as they arise.
- Work on end-to-end Integration scenarios Involving S4HANA on RISE Private Cloud, ECC, SAP SuccessFactors, event-driven architecture and enterprise messaging SAP Event Mesh, Snowflake and Other third-party applications.
- Hands on Experience with REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, ODATA, XSLT and OAuth authentication, SFTP, JDBC, IDOCs, SOAP, Azure, HTTP/HTTPS, SAP BTP and Cloud Connector.
- Experience with Groovy Script for Custom integration logic. Experience in SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI/PO Integration Development
- Good Knowledge in event-driven architecture and enterprise messaging SAP Event Mesh.
- Experience in implementing Integration (A2A/B2B), TPM (Trading Partner Management) and Integration Advisory tools (MIG/MAG)
- Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
- Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
- Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have. Assists stewards and data owners in analyzing root cause of data quality issues
- Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, and design
- Working with multiple Project teams to construct logical and physical designs that stay true to enterprise architecture.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, SW engineering, computer science, or related field.
Experience Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in IT, with 5+ years focus on Integration architecture. CPG experience
- At least five years of experience in SAP BTP-IS/PI/PO and Integration projects and teams involving complex and large cross functional, business transformation initiatives, designing integration Strategies and integration patterns for middleware with primary focus in SAP BTP-IS/CPI.
- Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
- Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
