Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness is launching a project to modernize its Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure, SCADA systems and analytics at major sites, such as edible oil refineries and soybean crushing plants. The Operational Technology Manager will provide OT leadership and manage the OT team for Perdue AgriBusiness. The team will partner with engineering and operations to implement and maintain OT systems at AgriBusiness sites. 

 

The salary range for this position is $126,000- $190,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the convergence between IT and OT systems. Mapping the relationships between information systems components (i.e. , end users, business processes, applications, data, IT platform hardware/software, and networks)
  • Gauge the security, effectiveness, and resiliency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving, converging, or further leveraging these systems 
  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of IT/OT projects 
  • Develop and manages technical/service relationship between the external vendors and partners. Monitors project implementation to ensure project/program complies with the project’s schedule, budget, quality standards and client’s requirements. Performs post-implementation project reviews for an assessment on project achievements/results
  • Provide guidance and support to IT/OT project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Minimum Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or Engineering 

Experience Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in IT or Operational Technology roles 
  • Manufacturing / Operational Technology experience 
  • Experience and knowledge of infrastructure and cybersecurity technologies and concepts, including servers, firewalls, network switches, network segmentation, vulnerability assessment, and risk management 
  • Experience managing a team of technical OT associates and/or large projects 
  • Travel to facilities as needed (up to 25%)

 

Experience Preferred

  • AgriBusiness industry or process manufacturing experience 
  • Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk and/or Ignition based SCADA systems 
  • Relevant industry certifications and trainings a plus - GIAC, GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443
  • Certifications, OEM specific training (Rockwell, Inductive Automation, etc.) 

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at a desk for long periods of time in an office environment
  • Position is primarily sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment outside of immediate work area
  • Primary work environment is in an office setting with open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
  • Frequent use of a computer workstation
  • Some lifting up to 50 pounds (moving equipment as needed)
  • Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities:
    • Including climbing vertical heights (0 -150')
    • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degree to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity
    • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 100 db
    • May be exposed to chemicals (MSDS sheets available)
    • Must be able to wear protective equipment, including self-contained breathing apparatus as required for the job as directed by the Company
  • Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations.
