Summary
Drive operational excellence and asset reliability by planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities across the facility. As a Maintenance Planner and Scheduler, you will ensure work is safely and efficiently planned and executed by coordinating labor, materials, parts, contractors, and equipment access to maximize productivity, control costs, and minimize downtime. Working closely with Maintenance, Production, and cross-functional teams, you will help prioritize work, resolve potential delays, improve processes, and use data to support reliable plant operations. This role is ideal for a highly organized and collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This position has a target wage of $23.00 - $34.25 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between Maintenance, Operations, and supported departments to ensure timely, efficient, and quality maintenance services.
- Perform short-range and long-range planning, including backlog analysis and resource balancing.
- Plan and schedule major and minor shutdowns and develop standardized shutdown plans.
- Develop and maintain planned job packages, labor standards, and material libraries.
- Keep Maintenance and Operations leadership informed of critical issues and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance data, CMMS administration, equipment history, and cost tracking.
- Procure maintenance materials and services within established guidelines.
- Schedule preventive, predictive, and planned maintenance activities to support operational reliability goals.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Technical education beyond high school, vocational training, or equivalent maintenance experience.
- Demonstrate leadership and influence skills.
- Demonstrate strong organizational abilities.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Be proficient in CMMS software.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications with advanced spreadsheet capabilities.
- Demonstrate knowledge of purchasing processes and procedures.
- Analyze maintenance data and generate reports.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
- Work in environments containing grain and soybean dust.
- Work in environments with industrial noise and vibration.
- Work around oils, lubricants, chemicals, and refinery products.
- Work around moving equipment and rotating machinery.
- Work in elevated areas and climb stairs, ladders, and platforms.
- Wear personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear.
- Perform extended computer and office work.
- Walk throughout manufacturing and processing facilities.
- Stand and walk for extended periods during field inspections.
- Bend, reach, stoop, and kneel as necessary.
- Respond to and support the team with emergency maintenance activities as needed.
