Summary
This position's responsibility is to mix and administer vaccine at the appropriate time and dosage for the day one spray vaccine process that encourages the highest quality chick, providing a superior product to Perdue Farms growers.
This position has a target wage of $18.63 per hour. Overtime may be available.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Performing the day-to-day hatchery vaccine mixing, preparation, clean up and lab care for all tasks associated with chick processing.
- Work closely with vaccine companies to incorporate practices that encourage best performance results.
- Working closely with hatchery management and other processing leads to ensure best practices and results during hatchery chick processing.
- Perform all duties as requested by management in a timely and efficient manner, in accordance with hatchery and company standard operating procedures, while fostering team spirit and morale.
Minimum Education
- High school or equivalent
Experience Requirements
Experience Preferred
- Reading and writing skills preferred.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Exposed to temperatures ranging from 60 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and humidities up to 100%.
- Exposed to chemicals, drups and vaccines to be covered in MSDS training and hazardous communications.
- Use personal protective equipment as required.
- Ability to lift 4 lbs. to a height of 6 feet, to push 75 lbs. a distance of 75 feet and lift 20 - 25 lbs. to a height of 3 feet.
- Must be able to work in a wet, damp, dusty (chick down) environment.
