Summary

Support the success of our Animal Nutrition business by ensuring customer orders move seamlessly from planning through delivery. As an Agrifeed Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in coordinating customer orders, managing contracts and order transactions, communicating with sales, operations, and logistics partners, and maintaining accurate system data. You will leverage your organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to resolve issues, support account and claims management, and deliver excellent service to customers and internal teams. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships while making a direct impact on customer satisfaction and operational performance.

 

This position has a target wage of $23.00 - $34.25 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate between sales, clients, blending facility operations and logistics to facilitate client needs.
  • Responsible for system entries - contracts, orders, bill of ladings and production product to product transfers.
  • Communicate shipment schedule details to facilities, transportation, and clients.
  • Coordinate with operations & logistics for any schedule change requests received and communicate available options to clients.
  • Work with sales and clients to trouble shoot and resolve accounts receivable issues with settlements.
  • Audit and perform contract and Agtech system maintenance regarding open balances, closing balances, rolls & closing orders.
  • Validate after the fact non-freight accruals on tickets in Agtech.
  • Manage the claims process, including tracking, communication, resolution, and follow-up, as this is a key financial metric for the business.
  • Be the key liaison for Animal Nutrition and Master Data with Syniti for all changes, input, and updates. 

 

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of customer service or logistics experience in a similar industry or field.
  • Understand standard software applications.
  • Demonstrate strong math, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Agribusiness, Transportation, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of customer service or logistics experience.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Work primarily in a sedentary office environment.
  • Move occasionally between offices or buildings.
  • Communicate effectively by telephone and use standard office equipment.
  • Move light equipment or supplies as needed.
  • Access files, supplies, and equipment as part of regular job duties.
  • Work in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
