Summary
Come join us at Corporate HQ for Summer 2026! Our Corporate Communications Internship offers students hands-on, real-world experience within the company over an 8 - 10 week period. This position has a target wage of $21.90 - $28.13 per hour, based on graduation year. Overtime may be available.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the communications team in telling the company’s story across internal and external channels.
- This includes assisting with content creation for company news update, intranet stories, social media content ideation and creation, and press materials; helping with media monitoring and research; helping prepare briefing documents and talking points for leadership; and contributing to event planning and execution.
- Gain hands-on experience in media relations, storytelling, and corporate reputation management while working closely with a collaborative communications team.
Minimum Education
- This position is open to rising Juniors or Seniors pursuing a Bachelors degree.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university in a relevant field of study. Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Experience Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills — experience writing for student publications, blogs, newsletters, or social media is a plus.
- Comfort with basic content creation, such as drafting social posts, intranet updates, or press release support.
- Research skills for media monitoring and trend tracking.
- Organizational skills to support events, projects, and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work with multiple stakeholders and take direction.
Experience Preferred
- Ability to adapt tone and style depending on audience (e.g., internal associates vs. external media).
- Awareness of media landscape — previous internships or campus experience in PR, marketing, or journalism a bonus.
- Demonstrated teamwork from past internships, campus leadership roles, or volunteer experiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and/or Google Suite.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe, or basic photo/video editing a plus.
- Knowledge of intranet or CMS tools (not required, but good exposure).
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
- May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company. May need to climb ladders.
