Summary

Lead the technology that powers our logistics and transportation network as a Logistics Technical Lead, where you will provide strategic direction and hands on leadership for the systems that keep our operations moving. In this role, you will own and optimize mission critical platforms including Blue Yonder TMS, IBM Maximo fleet maintenance systems, and SAP S/4HANA integrations, ensuring they are stable, secure, and scalable to meet business needs. You will drive system enhancements, upgrades, analytics, AI initiatives, and new technology implementations while partnering closely with Transportation, Fleet, Finance, Operations, and IT teams to deliver reliable, forward-thinking solutions. The salary range for this position is $126,000.00 - $158,000.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical ownership and day-to-day oversight of Blue Yonder TMS, including system configuration, integrations, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and enhancement planning.
  • Lead and support SAP S/4HANA integration and upgrade efforts into Blue Yonder TMS, coordinating with middleware, SAP, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless data flow and system reliability.
  • Oversee logistics related fleet maintenance systems (IBM Maximo), ensuring alignment between fleet operations, asset data, maintenance processes, and reporting requirements.
  • Plan, manage, and execute logistics IT projects, including scope definition, timelines, resource coordination, vendor management, testing, deployment, and post implementation support.
  • Coordinate and manage system upgrades, patches, and releases across logistics and transportation platforms, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
  • Lead Power BI and enterprise analytics initiatives for logistics, transportation, and fleet performance, ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable reporting for leadership.
  • Evaluate, implement, and integrate new logistics and transportation systems, SaaS platforms, and third-party solutions to support evolving business needs.
  • Own and advanced AI and advanced analytics initiatives within logistics IT, including automation, predictive insights, optimization, and data driven decision support.
  • Partner with business and IT leadership to identify, prioritize, and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across logistics systems, processes, and data flows.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for complex logistics system issues, leading root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
  • Ensure documentation, change management, and knowledge transfer processes are followed for all logistics IT systems and initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with IT governance, security, and data standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of IT experience supporting enterprise application systems, with significant exposure to logistics, transportation, or supply chain technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading Transportation Management Systems (TMS), preferably Blue Yonder TMS.
  • Hands on experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA, including integrations with logistics or transportation platforms.
  • Experience managing system integrations, upgrades, and production support in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Proven project management experience leading cross functional IT initiatives from planning through implementation.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI/reporting tools in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, and fleet operations.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience supporting fleet maintenance systems, preferably IBM Maximo.
  • Experience working with middleware, APIs, EDI, and event-based integrations.
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics initiatives within logistics or supply chain environments.
  • Experience working with cloud-based SaaS logistics platforms.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, or similar certification.
  • Master’s degree in a related field.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  • Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
