Summary

Play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our plant. As a Plant Office Administrator, you will provide administrative and clerical support to multiple cross-functional departments, helping ensure efficient operations, accurate documentation, and seamless coordination across the facility. You will collaborate with teams throughout the plant, assist with a variety of administrative processes, and contribute to a productive and well-organized work environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, providing exceptional support, and making a meaningful impact across multiple teams.

 

Compensation

This position has a target wage of $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

 

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to cross-functional departments.
  • Ensure compliance with verification of all documents completed and submitted daily, including on-floor and paperwork verification of NAE PVP, APF PVP, and Organic Programs.
  • Provide support to Quality Assurance and Food Safety supervisors and managers on assigned duties.
  • Enter laboratory data and prepare customer and in-house samples.
  • Review and file HACCP, SSOP, and supporting documentation daily and report issues to Quality Assurance and Food Safety supervisors and managers.
  • Record information obtained on monitoring records and enter data into electronic systems.
  • Answer phones, field questions, redirect calls, and take messages and orders.
  • Communicate with customers, associates, and others to answer questions, address complaints, and explain information.
  • Maintain company record systems to ensure accurate files.
  • Operate office equipment, including photocopiers, scanners, telephone and voicemail systems, and computers.
  • Monitor office supply inventory and restock supplies when shortages occur.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail, including envelopes and packages.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 - 4 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrate good organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Possess general knowledge of plant functions, including production, maintenance, warehouse, shipping, and sanitation.
  • Possess knowledge of standard software applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Food manufacturing experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Position is primarily sedentary but may require occasional movement to other offices or buildings.
  • Move light equipment or supplies from one location to another.
  • Access files, supplies, and equipment as needed.
  • Work in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
  • When working in a plant environment, be exposed to wet and moist floors, including metal and plastic grating surfaces. Exposure may include temperatures ranging from 28 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity levels up to 100%, product temperatures from 25 degrees Fahrenheit to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, noise levels from 50 dB to 110 dB, and chemicals used in a poultry food processing facility. Wear and use all protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
