Summary
The overall purpose of this position, i.e., what it accomplishes at Perdue and/or why it exists is:
TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE SAFETY RELATED RULES, POLICIES AND THE COMPLEX ERGONOMICS PLAN. ABLE TO IDENTIFY AND CORRECT DEVIATIONS TO PERSONAL SAFETY ISSUES AND FOOD SAFETY ISSUES.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. INSPECT ALL AREAS DAILY & REPORT TO ENSURE ALL UNSAFE ACTS & CONDITIONS ARE CORRECTED IN A TIMELY MANNER.
2. RAMP-IN AND ERGONOMIC PROGRAM IS EVALUATED FOR ACCURACY.
3. INTERVIEW ASSOCIATES ON KNOWLEDGE OF SAFETY PROGRAMS AND APPROPRIATE TRAINING PROVIDED.
4. REPORT FOOD SAFETY RELATED CONCERNS TO QA/HACCP.
5. BE A LEADER IN SAFETY MEETINGS AND FOOD SAFETY MEETINGS.
6. SUPPORT THE CORPORATE SAFETY AUDIT AND BRC AUDITS ANNUALLT.

The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:
MAJORITY OF THE WORK DONE IS ON THE FLOOR IN THE PRODUCTION AREA. WILL BE EXPOSED TO 0-100+ dBA NOISE, 0-100+ TEMP, & 0-100 HUMIDITY. MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO MOVE THROUGHOUT THE PLANT & FACILITY & THEIR SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENTS. MUST WEAR PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AS REQUIRED.
