Summary
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our associates. Working under the guidance of a nursing supervisor, you will provide compassionate, high quality medical care within your scope of practice, respond to health needs as they arise, and help create a safe and supportive workplace. Your clinical skills and professionalism will make a meaningful difference in the day-to-day care of those you serve.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer medical care for work or non-work-related injury or illness by giving first aid treatment, following appropriate Occupational Health Nursing Guidelines, algorithms, and medical directives, and referring cases to physicians or advanced practice nurses as needed.
- Obtain health care history information and may perform specific assessments or screening activities, such as mental health status, suicidal risk, cognitive screening, substance use screening, oral health screening, growth, and developmental screening, or nutritional assessments, depending on the scope of license within the applicable state.
- Assist with drug screens, wellness programs, and other tasks as assigned.
- Complete electronic recordkeeping for associates, document interactions, and care. Data entry as appropriate.
- Support function of wellness center that is consistent with company policies, to include injury/illness medical treatment, clinic appointments (at Wellness Centers), ordering supplies, etc.
- Assist staff with systems for the health improvement of associates at the facility.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Successful completion of an approved practical nursing program or college program.
- 2-4 years related work experience.
- Current LPN licenses in the state of Maryland.
- Current certification in CPR in good standing.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Phlebotomy skills.
- Bilingual is a plus.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.
