Summary
Keep our operations running safely and efficiently as a Wastewater Maintenance Operator. In this hands-on role, you will maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and rebuild critical wastewater equipment to ensure reliable plant operations and regulatory compliance. You'll work with a variety of mechanical systems, operate company equipment, and perform preventative maintenance while partnering with a dedicated team to support continuous production. This opportunity is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys solving problems, working in a fast-paced environment, and developing new skills, including earning Delaware wastewater certifications to advance their career.
Schedule: Thursday through Sunday, 6:00pm - 6:00am.
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a valid driver's license and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) authorization to operate company vehicles and equipment.
- Obtain a Delaware water license within 18 months.
- Obtain a Level I Delaware wastewater license within 12 months.
- Maintain flexibility and general physical fitness to perform assigned duties.
- Climb ladders and work on platforms when required to perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Use and understand the Maximo work order system.
- Repair, rebuild, maintain, and adjust wastewater equipment and related systems.
- Follow manufacturer operation and maintenance procedures when performing assigned work.
Minimum Education and Experience
- 6 months of prior related experience.
- Reading and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of arc welding, torch use, fabrication, and wastewater equipment.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Work in areas subject to outdoor environmental conditions.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as required.
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
- Move throughout assigned work areas safely and efficiently.
