Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness, LLC has an immediate full-time job opening for a Blending Plant Operator at our facility in Earlville, IA.  This position is responsible for operating assigned functions within the Blending plant.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate blending production equipment
  • Operate the panel control system
  • Operate powered industrial mobile equipment and perform routine inspections and maintenance
  • Operate all transfer and loadout equipment
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance as required
  • Assist maintenance associates as directed during equipment repairs
  • Perform clean-up and house cleaning as directed within assigned areas
  • Perform all work within the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies

Minimum Education

  • High School diploma or GED (further education preferred)

Experience Requirements

  • 0 - 2 years of hands on experience
  • Experience with other jobs comparable to any dry goods receiving/handling facility would be a plus
  • Great math (calculator provided), computer, and communication skills
  • Ability to learn company programs
  • Legible writing skills
  • Detail oriented

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Physical job.  Ability to lift 55 lb bags.  Able to move freely throughout the facility to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), exposure to outside temperatures & humidity.  Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
