Summary

To perform various Yield studies/tests oon various products, compile information and give reports to management.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs studies on various products for yield benchmarking.
  • Be proficient in computer skills, "Windows".
  • Perform dry and moisture yields, take information and compile reports based on data.
  • Make random analytical checks on yield items.
  • Occasionally lifts boxes (weighing up to 50 pounds) to a height of 4 feet.
  • Perform cut tests on various products for yield purposes.
     

Minimum Education

High School or equivalent preferred. Stron reading and writing skills, proficient math skills, and basic computer skills in Excel required.

Experience Requirements

6 months experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience Preferred

Must demonstrate proficiency within a week of training.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

When in a plant environment:

  • Standing and walking for in excess of 8 hours on wet, moist, and greasy floors which includes metal or plastic surfaces with up to 4 hours in a single interval.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Exposrue to, and work in temperature ranges of <25 degrees to >80 degrees Fahrenheit with ambient humidity.
  • Noise exposure range of <50 db to > 98.7 db.
  • Light intensity range of <50 to >200 foot candles.
  • Bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distances, degrees, angle, weights, heights, longest interval of time, objects grasped, and body positions depending upon the quality assurance tasks being performed.
  • Exposure to chlorinated water <50 ppm, ammonia vapors, <5 ppm, dry ice, caustic detergents, and other chemicals found in a poultry processing plant.
  • Must wear and/or use protective and safety equipment required for the job.
