Summary 

Be a key player in keeping production moving and supporting the Box Room operations by maintaining accurate packaging and ingredient inventory, supporting material movement, and ensuring production has the necessary supplies to operate efficiently. This position utilizes SAP to receive, issue, consume, return, and adjust inventory as needed while monitoring inventory levels, completing cycle counts, communicating inventory concerns, and keeping the Box Room organized and production-ready.

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM 

 

 

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate daily Box Room activities to support production needs and maintain an organized, production-ready work area.
  • Monitor packaging and ingredient inventory levels and communicate shortages, excess inventory, or supply concerns to leadership.
  • Manage SAP inventory transactions, including receiving, issuing, consuming, returning, and adjusting inventory as needed.
    • Create labels and scan ingredients and packaging into inventory.
    • Confirm inventory in SAP.
    • Issue inventory in SAP to the production floor and return unused materials to stock.
    • Complete inventory adjustments based on cycle count results.
  • Confirm Bills of Lading against physical receipts to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts.
  • Manage inventory levels and turns to help minimize excessive inventory.
  • Keep work area clean throughout the shift. 
  • Support production during the processing day by assisting with breaks, inventory preparation, material movement, and other related duties within the Box Room department.

 

Minimum Education and Experience 

  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Ability to be trained in SAP programs and movements.
  • 1 year related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate inventory needs or concerns to supervisors and production leadership.

 

Preferred Education and Experience 

  • Experience in a poultry processing/manufacturing environment. 

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors 

When in a plant environment: 

  • Ability to tolerate exposure to wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. 
  • Ability to stand for an extended period and perform repetitive tasks. 
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs by reaching, bending, and lifting bags, totes and boxes. 
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as bump cap, gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection as required. 
  • May work in an environment with varying temperatures between 28 degrees and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  • May handle products varying in temperatures between 25 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. 
  • May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. 
  • Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
