Summary
Be a key guardian of product quality and food safety. As a HACCP Checker, you will monitor and document production processes to ensure products consistently meet Perdue’s high quality “A” grade standards and United States Department of Agriculture requirements. You will play a hands-on role in verifying product integrity, identifying potential issues, and supporting compliance with food safety programs. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who take pride in maintaining high standards and making a direct impact on product quality and customer trust.
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday 12:00am-8:30am
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow all safety requirements, GMP’s policy and food safety requirements.
- Check and record all HACCP checks at the correct times.
- Check to make sure water is on at all belts.
- Help keep rework back in flow.
- Check and adjust pick up so that it stays at 11% to 12.3%, not over.
- Perform retest when requested by USDA or QA.
- Associate is to know and be able to perform all jobs in the area.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Strong reading, communication, math, writing, and analytical skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Work environment includes, but is not limited to, temperatures of 34-85 degrees F. and at times in temperatures below 0 degrees.
- Pre Shipment Reviewer will be going from hot areas to cold areas, and from cold areas to hot areas.
- Work in wet and damp environments.
- Exposure to sodium hydroxide residues (caustics) polyresin glue resins (glue), ammonia (NH4), Iodine (1), Chlorine (CL2), Peracetic Acid, Ozone (O3) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2) vapors at times above 32.
- Noise level of 95.1dB, continuously standing and walking on slippery concrete, handle products with temperatures of less than 0 degrees F. and greater than 160 degrees F.
- Lift cases weighing 20 to 50 lbs. approximately 3-5 feet from floor and carry approx. 20 feet to inspection station.
Associate will be working in these conditions for 8 hours or more.
