Summary

The purpose of this position is to maintain effluent discharge compliance and operation of offal and wastewater.

Schedule: 2nd Shift (6pm-6am)

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain effluent discharge compliance.
Load offal and feather trailers without mixing product.
Perform assigned Preventative Maintenance.
Maintain all paperwork.
Repair and maintain all equipment in offal and wastewater.
Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety
Management related matters.

Minimum Education

A High School diploma or GED preferred.

Experience Requirements

0-2 Years experience.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is active.
On the plant floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems are routine.
May need to move equipment occasionally.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Position requires as associate to have the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities.
Work may include lifting (up to 70 lbs), to heights of 5" to 84", reaching, bending and/or pushing.
When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facilities.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the company.
