Summary:

 

Join our team as an Oil Driver and play a critical role in our logistics network by delivering bulk liquids between company and customer facilities. In this position, you will operate tractor-trailer combinations to transport essential products in a safe, legal, and timely manner. As a professional representative of the Perdue Farms brand, you will manage specialized equipment and ensure the integrity of every load, serving as a vital link in our supply chain.

 

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Maneuver and deliver or backhaul truckloads of bulk products to plants, customers, and distributors.
  • Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including hours of service, logbooks, and thorough vehicle and load inspections.
  • Operate tractors and trailers safely according to Federal, State, and Local laws, utilizing all on-board safety features and electronic logging devices.
  • Accurately complete and submit all company paperwork, including manifests, bills of lading, and trip reports.
  • Perform the physical process of loading and unloading bulk products as assigned.
  • Maintain seal integrity and verify the condition and accurate count of products during every delivery.

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience (preferably with a tanker)
  • Valid Class A CDL (with tanker endorsement) and ability to meet all company and Safety Department requirements
  • Ability to be away from home domicile for extended periods as directed by management.
  • While the role involves significant driving time, you may be required to move light equipment or access files and supplies as needed.
  • Ability to perform all duties in a professional manner while representing the company brand

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Lift, pull, and maneuver hoses and equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Climb on tanks, ladders, and elevated surfaces as needed
  • Bend, kneel, and crouch during loading/unloading
  • Sit and drive for extended periods
  • Wear required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, etc.)
  • Operate valves, pumps, and fittings with strong hand–eye coordination

 

Work Environment Requirements:

 

  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions year‑round
  • Work in food‑grade production facilities, terminals, and customer sites
  • Handle liquid bulk products with strict cleanliness and contamination‑control standards
  • Stand, walk, and work on uneven or slippery surfaces
  • Follow all DOT/FMCSA and tanker‑specific regulations
  • Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
