Summary
Build meaningful university partnerships and help shape the future of Perdue Farms’ talent pipeline. As a Campus Liaison, you will serve as a key connector between Perdue Farms and our Tier 1 university partners, building strong relationships with faculty, career services, student organizations, and campus leaders to elevate our employer brand and attract top early-career talent. You will create opportunities to engage students and strengthen the pipeline for internships, co-ops, management trainee programs, and full-time careers across the organization. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven, strategic professional who thrives on connecting with people, building partnerships, and creating impactful experiences that inspire the next generation of talent to grow their careers with Perdue Farms.
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned Tier 1 universities, maintaining strong relationships with faculty, administration, career services, and student groups.
- Partner with hiring managers and Human Resources to understand talent needs and align campus engagement strategies with workforce demand.
- Manage the planning and execution of campus events, including career fairs, information sessions, networking receptions, classroom presentations, and student organization partnerships.
- Drive on-campus and virtual employer brand presence through creative initiatives, social media, and collaboration with the Employment Brand team.
- Provide guidance and training to Campus Team associates and hiring managers attending campus events to ensure consistent messaging and a positive candidate experience.
- Collect and share market insights from assigned universities, including trends in student interest, competitive employer activity, and stakeholder feedback.
- Monitor recruiting outcomes from Tier 1 universities, including applications, hires, and conversion rates, and provide reporting to Talent Acquisition leadership.
- Support student candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring timely communication and a smooth experience.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in university recruiting, talent acquisition, or relationship management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience planning and executing events, with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to large groups.
- Passion for early career development and building strong employer-university partnerships.
- Willingness to travel regularly to assigned universities during peak recruiting seasons.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
