Feedmill Maintenance Mechanic

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• To be instrumental in performing the preventative maintenance program form the feed mill.
• To troubleshoot and perform needed mechanical and electrical repairs in the feed mill.
• Must be capable of learning and understanding the automated operating system that runs the plant.
• Must be an effective communicator who hast the ability of working with both production and maintenance associates.
• Accountable for completing required reports utilizing both computer and handwritten.
• Must be familiar or capable of learning the following skills: welding, cutting, mechanical, electrical/wiring motors, pipefitting and plumbing, conveyance systems.
• Operating diverse types of shop equipment, pneumatics, some blueprint reading and knowing boilers is a plus.
• Schedule: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 6:45 am - 4 pm. Saturdays as needed. 

Minimum Education

• High School or Equivalent preferred. 
• Technical and Trade Classes are a plus. 

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 - 4 years’ related experience is preferred to be considered for this position. 
• Reading, writing and analytical skills are required.
• Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance background required. 

Experience Preferred

• Welding and cutting experience preferred. 

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• Exposed to outside weather conditions and a significant amount of airborne dust.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, climb and move throughout the feed mill.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must not be fearful of working at heights greater than 200 feet while wearing requited personal protective equipment.
