Summary

Keep poultry farm feeding operations running safely and efficiently as an Equipment Operator. In this hands-on role, you will operate tractors, skid steers, forklifts, and other farm equipment to support daily feeding operations and maintain reliable farm activity. You will also connect and disconnect equipment, complete routine inspections, and report mechanical issues to help keep machinery operating effectively. This role is ideal for a safety-focused, dependable team member who enjoys working with farm machinery and contributing to the day-to-day success of poultry operations.

Principal Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate tractors, skid steers, and forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Maintain feeding operations using tractors and grain wagons.
• Hook up and disconnect grain carts, bush hogs, rollers, and other equipment as needed.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report mechanical issues.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Demonstrate strong reading, writing, math, and analytical skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

• Perform repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours with 4 to 6 repetitions per minute in a single interval.
• Work in a variable temperature and ambient dampness.
• Walk or stand on all types of surfaces.
• Work with exposure to carbon fuel fumes and <5 PPM of ammonia vapors.
• Wear cotton gloves as personal protective equipment.
• Walk for <1 hour with 1 to 3 repetitions per minute at a maximum distance of >100 ft on all types of walking surfaces.
• Stand for 2 to 4 hours with variable mobility.
• Sit constantly for 2 to 4 hours.
• Bend for 2 to 4 hours with 4 to 6 repetitions per minute at a maximum forward angle and <2 degrees maximum backward angle.
• Work at a maximum side angle of 10 to 20 degrees.
• Twist for <1 hour with 1 to 3 repetitions per minute.
• Work at a <30 degree maximum forward angle.
• Lift for 2 to 4 hours with 4 to 6 repetitions per minute.
• Lift a maximum weight of 40 to 60 lb.
• Lift from floor level to final height of 0 to 6 inches.
• Reach 3 to 6 inches during lifting with variable body positioning.
• Reach for 2 to 4 hours with 4 to 6 repetitions per minute.
