Summary

Maintain, service, and perform repairs on equipment in order to ensure proper operation of production equipment and electrical systems.

 

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Benefits

This position has a target wage of $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and understand manufacturer's equipment manuals, preventative (PM) task sheets, and safety policies
  • Perform equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency breakdowns
  • Perform specific duties during both production and non-production hours in a timely manner within OSHA Lockout/Tagout and Company safety regulations
  • Monitor performance of equipment and inform maintenance and production supervisors of potential issues
  • Maintain log books by applying math skills through the equipment PM stages in order to calibrate machinery to performance standards
  • Adhere to all safety rules including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters 

Minimum Education

  • High School or equivalent

Experience Requirements

  • Reading, writing, and analytical skills are required
  • Ability to learn to use and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Position is active on the floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems are routine
  • May need to move equipment occasionally
  • May need to access files, supplies, and equipment
  • Position requires an associate to have the ability to move throughout the facility
  • Exposed to all seasonal weather conditions
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
  • Must be able to climb heights up to 120 feet
  • Must be able to operate a forklift
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry food processing facility
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection as required
