Summary 

Keep critical operations running at full strength. As a Maintenance Mechanic in our feedmill, you’ll perform preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and rapid emergency response to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient production. Your hands on expertise will support the reliability of essential feedmill equipment, helping maintain consistent operations and product quality. This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy troubleshooting, working with complex machinery, and making a direct impact on daily production performance. 

 

 

ScheduleMonday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm 

 

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for moving throughout the facility, reach vertical heights up to 150 feet to perform repairs, PM’s and monitors Equipment in both open and confined spaces. 

  • Perform preventive Maintenance as assigned which includes but is not limited to fabrication, rebuilding of machinery, gearboxes, pumps, etc.  

  • Document work on work orders as appropriate. 

  • Respond to emergency breakdown during both on and off duty hours to ensure operation continuity on a 24-hour a day basis. 

  • Generates and submits paperwork related to work location such as work orders timecards, and any related to meetings, safety, etc. 

  • Perform all equipment repairs and daily work within OSHA regulation, lockout/tag –out, and Perdue safety book guidelines. 

 

Minimum Education and Experience 

  • Reading, Writing, Math and Analytical skills. 

 

Preferred Education and Experience 

  • High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required. 

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors 

  • Exposed to existing weather conditions while outside work is performed. 

  • Exposed to air born dust, chemicals such as hexane, caustic soda, aluminum chloride. 

  • Must have ability to move through the facility and carry required equipment, tools which could weigh as much as 100ibs. 

  • Must wear required safety equipment.
