Summary
Perdue AgriBusiness has an opening for a Lab Technician at our Bowersville, GA facility. This position will be responsible for performing To perform quality control analyses of crude and refined oil products. To document analytical results and prepares reports for distribution. This role will be working a 12 hour rotating shift.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect, log, and file oil samples for quality control checks.
- Perform quality control analyses in accordance with plant or customer specifications.
- Perform laboratory housekeeping duties to include washing glassware, cleaning floors and cabinets, and emptying trash containers.
- Learn to calibrate and perform simple maintenance on laboratory instruments.
- Operate quality control instruments.
- Learn specialized quality control tests to include AOCS methods.
- Perform all work within safety guidelines established by local, state and federal agencies as well as company policies.
- Perform other tasks assigned.
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma / GED
- Reading, writing and math skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Natural Science discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, etc.) preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 2-4 years of related professional experience
- Knowledge of quality control
- Knowledge of chemistry
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the Quality Control Laboratory and Soy Crush facility to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying equipment or samples (0-50 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment.
