Summary

Join our team as an Egg Truck Driver and play a vital role in delivering quality from farm to facility. In this role, you will follow a routine route to pick up racks and boxes of eggs from designated breeder farms, replenish essential supplies, and safely transport eggs to the warehouse or hatchery. You’ll be a trusted partner to our farm teams, helping ensure smooth operations, reliable delivery schedules, and the care and integrity of every load along the way.

 

 

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures timely and accurate delivery of eggs according to dispatcher scheduling.
  • Performs a pre-trip truck inspection according to a DOT sheet, reporting any deficiencies to proper fleet mechanics.
  • Ensures accurate recordkeeping of fuel purchases, trip tickets, daily logs and time sheets.

 

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School or equivalent.
  • Class B Commercial driver's license.
  • 2+ years commercial driving.
  • Reading, writing and math skills. 

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Class A driver's license is preferred.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Exposed to both seasonal weather and climate-controlled conditions and various chemicals and disinfectants to be covered in MSDS Training.
  • Must be able to push and pull up to 1200 lbs a distance of 90 feet.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs with a significant amount of bending, twisting and stepping.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the company.
