Summary
Help protect our operations and the environment through safe, efficient water treatment. As a Wastewater Operator team member, you will operate and maintain water treatment systems that support regulatory compliance and ensure reliable plant operations. You will monitor equipment performance, perform testing and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship. This role is ideal for a dependable, hands-on professional who enjoys solving problems, working with equipment, and making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Compensation
This position has a target wage of $21.00 - $31.50 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday with weekend work (Saturday and/or Sunday) as required based on department schedules and production needs.
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Operate equipment to fulfill the requirements of water and wastewater operations.
· Perform all work in accordance with safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies, as well as company policies.
· Collect water and wastewater samples in accordance with quality assurance programs and applicable environmental regulations.
· Test samples and adjust equipment and chemical flow rates as required to ensure water quality compliance.
· Diagnose equipment failures.
· Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, as well as routine repairs, as necessary.
· Compile and maintain related records as required.
· Provide work direction and training to lower-level operators and technicians.
Minimum Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
· Move light equipment or supplies from one location to another.
· Access files, supplies, and equipment.
· Work in a plant environment with exposure primarily consisting of wet and moist floors, including metal and plastic grating surfaces.
· Work in temperatures ranging from 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, with both ambient conditions and 100% humidity.
· Work in noise levels ranging from 50 dB to 110 dB.
· Work with all chemicals used in the poultry food processing facility.
· Wear protective and safety equipment as directed by the Company.
· Climb ladders.
· Stand for several hours at a time.
